Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Flyweight Development Oy ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe privacy is a fundamental right, especially when it comes to children's data. Sleep Stars is designed from the ground up to be privacy-first.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Sleep Stars does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• • Personal information (names, emails, phone numbers)
• • Location data
• • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• • Usage analytics or behavioral data
• • Photos, contacts, or other device content
• • Sleep data or health information
• • Any information about children using the app

We don't collect this information because we don't need it. Sleep Stars is a self-contained app that works entirely on your device.

Local Data Storage

Sleep Stars stores the following data locally on your device only:

• • Child profiles (names and avatars you create)
• • Sleep goal settings (bedtime and wake time)
• • Sleep log entries (times you record)
• • Star counts and badge progress
• • Reward store items and settings
• • App preferences

This data is stored using SQLite, a local database on your device. If you enable sync, this data is also stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive account—never on our servers. If you uninstall the app, local data is permanently deleted.

No Third-Party Services

Sleep Stars does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use:

• • Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics
• • Facebook SDK or Meta Pixel
• • Advertising networks or ad tracking
• • Crash reporting services that collect device data
• • Social media integrations
• • Any cloud services other than your own iCloud or Google Drive (which you control)

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Sleep Stars is designed for use by children under the supervision of parents or guardians. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.

Since we do not collect any personal information from anyone—including children—there is no children's data to protect, share, or manage. The safest way to protect children's data is to never collect it in the first place.

App Store Purchases

When you purchase Sleep Stars through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your payment is processed by Apple or Google respectively. We do not receive or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made.

Internet Connection

Sleep Stars works offline by default. If you choose to enable sync, the app connects only to your own iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android) account to keep your data in sync across your devices. We do not operate servers that receive or store your data—sync happens directly between your device and your personal cloud storage. You can use Sleep Stars without ever connecting to the internet.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• • To delete all data: Uninstall the app from your device
• • To delete a child's profile: Use the in-app profile management
• • To clear sleep history: Use the in-app data management options

There is no data on our servers to delete because we don't have servers that store your information.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Our commitment to not collecting personal data will not change. Any future updates to Sleep Stars will maintain this privacy-first approach.
